About 800 professionals and researchers from 40 to 50 countries are to attend the 17th ICHA. In order to encourage the participation of students, the organizing committee has decided to set lower subscription prices for them.
Student members of ISSHA may subscribe until July 15th 2015 and pay R$ 350,00 as a special offer. “Early bird” subscriptions, from August 1st 2015 to January 31st 2016, cost R$ 450,00. The price increases to R$ 650,00 for subscriptions made from February 1st 2016 to August 31st 2016 (the so-called regular subscriptions). Closer to the event, late subscriptions after September 1st 2015 cost R$ 1.000,00 for student members of ISSHA.
It is possible to join the ISSHA before subscription to ensure lower member prices: http://www.issha.org/membership/register. This also applies to non-students.
Students who are not members of ISSHA can subscribe for prices that vary from R$ 440,00 (special offer) to R$ 1.100,00 (late subscriptions).
According to the chairman of the event, Luis Proença, the organizing committee decided to set special prices for students in order to encourage their participation, especially post-graduate students from all fields of research related to harmful algae. “Sometimes they depend on scholarships and have difficulties to attend high level events such as this,” says Proença.
